Deja Vu! For a great reason. This post may look familiar. It's similar to one I did about a week ago.
But the property that features this great view has had another price reduction. The developer of this property wants to finish up the project and move on. And the asking prices now make these lots a real bargain. This is beautiful Pelican Lake property.

Competitive fishing. This past weekend a large corporate fueled bass fishing tournament was held on the lake. Sponsored by Everstart Battery Company (among others), the 4-day tournament drew 378 anglers from all over the United States. The eventual winner was David Dudley from North Carolina. Dave took home $65,900 in cash and prizes! Photos from the event are here.
Tournament fishing is growing in popularity across the country and this tourney on Lake Vermilion apparently won the praise and approval of organizers and participants.
There were some on the lake who were not as enthusiastic. There were a few complaints with accompanying calls to the local DNR officer.
This summer will see additional fishing tournaments on the lake. The Sportman's Club of Lake Vermilion has noted the schedule in their most recent newsletter. The Club has also decided to take an active role in monitoring tournament activity.
Their participation is both welcomed and needed. The Club's (proposed) By-Laws offer a great guide for all who enjoy Lake Vermilion.
